g-080120-ent-idol-6prp420x400.jpg“I am your brother, your best friend forever…” Bet this will going to be a hit song and you have heard it first on American Idol Season 7. The man who sang this song came to the audition in Texas with white cape and white hat and belt out a tune which he originally composed especially for Simon.

I find it funny that he idolizes Simon and almost worships him, especially when Simon gave him a big “yes”, unfortunately Paula and Randy turned him down though they apparently had a good time when he performed. He sure has a great voice; it’s just that he’s already 44 years old and he was dressed, uhmm, uniquely.

When I first saw him, I was crossing my fingers that he’s not a Filipino ‘cause I’m afraid he would become a laughing stock. But then, he’s a Filipino, but he has a good voice and I realized, that is something not to be ashamed of. He’s a true-blooded Pinoy because he sees the good in everything and everyone. He even accepted the fact that he was not given a chance to make it to Hollywood, except Simon for which he said:

“Simon you are a great person you give chance to anyone to sing the good word, you are heaven’s chosen the key chance to any talent free of charge, even they throw you negative words but there are many people who really like you, really admire you, one of them is me you are a great person Simon.”

Oh, by the way, his name is Renaldo Lapuz. I wonder if he hails from Pampanga and if by any chance that he is my relative ‘cause my maternal surname is Lapuz. Welcome, brother! :)
