Yoon Eun-hye has come back, and she’s funnier than ever! In Coffee Prince, she portrays a very cute and funny role as a tomboyish girl, far different from her role in Princess Hours wherein she was a Crowned Princess. In Princess Hours, she was very cute with her uniform and very girly with her long hair but in Coffee Prince, Yoon Eun-hye agreed to cut off her hair to live up with her character.

As Andy Go, she met Arthur Choi (Gong Yoo), a happy-go-lucky guy who hails from a very rich family, first was when she delivered pizza to him and second in a robbery. On that robbery, Andy actually helped Arthur which ended up damaging her motorcycle on which causes her to lose her job. Swallowing her pride, she met up with Arthur to help her find a new job. Being always mistaken as a boy, Arthur hired Andy to be his gay lover so that the girls whom his mother arranged for him in blind dates would be turned off. Incidentally, Arthur’s grandmother assigned him to manage a bankrupt coffee shop. And in order to attract more female customers, Arthur decided that he should only hire male waiters. In dire need of money to support her mother and younger sister, Andy disguises herself more as a man. That started her complicated situation as she developed feelings first with Arthur’s Cousin, Errol played by Lee Seon Gyun, then later with Arthur who had a secret crush on Errol’s on and off girlfriend, Arleen played by actress Chae Jung Ahn.

But Arthur fell in love with Andy although he knew Andy was a guy. What will happen if Arthur finds out that Andy is actually a girl? Will he be glad that he actually fell in love with a girl or would he be furious on the thought that Andy deceived him? Find out on Coffee Prince, aired Monday to Friday on GMA-7 after Marimar.

The Actors/Actresses

I really like Yoon Eun-hye, not only is she cute and smart but she’s also very good in acting. In Coffee Prince, she’s very convincing as a tomboy that I can’t help but compare her in Princess Hours. Yoon Eun-hye was born on October 3, 1984 (she’s 23 years old). She was previously the youngest member of a pop singing group, Baby Vox.

Gong Yoo is a fast-rising heartthrob in Korea. My Auntie really likes his macho charisma. I think, he has a nice body that he exudes with sex appeal. He also portrays his role very well; he has screen chemistry with Yoon Eun-hye. His birth date is on July 10, 1979. His tv shows includes: One Fine Day (2006, MBC), Geonbbang Teacher and Star Candy (2005, SBS), Screen (2003, SBS), 20-Year-Old (2003, SBS), Love With No Hesitation (2002, KBS), Just a Hearbeat Away (2001, SBS), School 4 (2001, SBS).

Gong Yoo

While Lee Seon Gyun (Errol Choi) is not that quite appealing as with Gong Yoo, he still has a charm that draws female fans as well. He has good singing voice as well. In Coffee Prince, he is in love with Arlene (Chae Jung Ahn), his girlfriend of many years that he accepted her again after leaving him with another guy. But when he met Andy, he couldn’t help but smitten by the cute and charming female lead.

Chae Jung-an (Arleen), is a Korean actress and singer. I’m sure she has made a lot of admirers in the Philippines because of her beautiful face, but sorry guys, she is already married almost three years ago.

The other staffs of Coffee Prince

Kim Chang Wan (Manong Ernie), the other manager who is very supportive of Andy Go. I sometimes find him funny and yucky with his unhygienic antics.

Kim Dong-uk is Arthur’s bestfriend in Coffee Prince. He often calls Andy as Papa Andy as he finds Andy’s face so cute and adorable. He was the last to know that Andy is a girl; he was so angry that he told Arthur about it.

Kim Jae-uk is the waffle vendor that Arthur recruited to his coffee shop. Nobody knows who he really is except for the fact that he is Japanese. In Coffee Prince, there’s a mystery in his character. He is a Korean actor and model but I don’t know if he really came from Japan (he’s also cute!).

Lee Eon (Baldo), was born on Feb. 5, 1981. He is in-love with Andy’s sister whom he called his “Angel”. The funny tall guy would do everything for his angel even if he looked stupid already.
