It’s good to see Ramiele Malubay performs once again, though not in American Idol Season 7, but on Ellen DeGeneres’ show! :) I appreciate Ellen’s enthusiasm with Filipino talents. She requested Charisse Pempengco to sing live on her show and praised Arnel Pineda (a Filipino singer who is now the lead vocalist of international band, Journey).
It’s just sad that she didn’t make it to the top three and there’s an on-going discussion of racial issues concerning Ramiele’s votes. Some says she only gained major support because she is a FILIPINO and not because of her talent. Not being a patriotic but I like Ramiele because of her talent and personality. I did not like Jasmine Trias who was Season 3′s third placer, and there’s AJ Tabaldo who didn’t even make it to top 24. Now, if Filipinos are voting just because they are Filipinos, then why didn’t he make it to top 24? And even if that’s the fact, I don’t see the point why the argument? Just a thought.

I think it’s the other way around! A lot of the other finalists were actually the ones who gained major support not because of their talents but because they were Americans, and there are more than 300 million of them in America!
You have a point there Putti. Well, Ramiele’s already out of American Idol so I hope racial criticisms would stop.
