I remember on summer of 2003, I took a summer job at NBI Region III office. I was assigned on the Special Investigation department wherein I became the agents’ assistant. I had fun working with the agents. On Monday, I went to NBI Region III office at Clark, Pampanga to get a clearance, and I found out that they are already assigned in Manila.
Back then, I remember that one can get his or her clearance only a day after the application. But now, getting clearance is fast and easy… or so I thought it is in Pampanga. I should have went instead to Carriedo, Manila if I had known that it would take me three hours to finally get one! In Carriedo, it only took me about ten minutes when I got my first clearance last year. I was upset not only for the unorganized system the Clark office have, but also the employees are very grouchy, as if we were begging them to smile and be approachable. Damn! Our taxes pay their salaries! They should assist us, not snubbed us and worst, not shout at us. I could see a lot of people who went there are also upset by the way these employees treated us, applicants.
I hope the local government will take an action regarding this matter. Every department of the government should provide good service to the people.
