The Philippines’ first ever Survivor edition is being aired at Channel 7 and hosted by Paolo Bediones. The site is located at Koh Tarutao, also known as “The Devil’s Island” in Thailand.
The 18 castaways are divided into two groups: Jarakay and Naak. In Thailand, Jarakay means crocodile while Naak means snake. The Jarakay team consist of: Charisse, Gigit, Patani, John, Nikki, Niña, Marlon, Jace and Veronica. While Chev, Cris, Emerson, JC, Kaye, Kiko, Rob, Vev, and Zita are on the Naak team.
This early on, I can see who has what it takes to become the Philippines’ lone survivor. Here are my bets and their profile:
Cesar “Gigit” Sulit
He is the oldest castaway, but with his physique you will not think that Gigit is 48 years old already. A freelance Web Designer and Mountaineer, he is driven by his need for achievement and aspires to be forever young. He also considered himself an intellectual person, a plus points on becoming the survivor.
Raymund Francis “Kiko” Rustia
He is one of the head turners among the castaways, with his rugged looks and dreadlocks one couldn’t help but notice Kiko. He is a businessman from Quezon City but stayed at Boracay for three years. With his experience living in an island, Kiko has an advantage on how to survive the challenges.
Maria Nona “Niña” Ortiz
A mom of three kids, a welness coach, a sports buff, and an architect, Niña has the edge among the girls castaways. She can even beat the guys with her strive to compete and win.
Jervy “Patani” Daño
Patani is ,so far, the popular among the castaways. She provides comic relief amidst their situation. She is dubbed “Ang Yaya”, she hails from Talisay, Cebu. This 20-year old aspirant actress has auditioned several reality shows including Starstruck on which she is fond of saying the spiel a lot of times. She might emerged as the winner with her willingness to do everything she could just to become famous.
i can see a fire in the look of their eyes .. its power and gutts to win ..
yeah, that’s for 3 million pesos hehe…so, who’s your bet? =)
