Two new reality shows on two giant networks. Both will test the physical and mental capabilities of chosen Filipino contestants. Thousands of Filipinos flocked in during the audition. But who will gain the most number of viewership?
The Show
Pinoy Fear Factor is an upcoming reality show of ABS-CBN. A franchise of Endemol’s Fear Factor Extreme, the location was shot at Argentina, South America thus the show was also dubbed: Pinoy Fear Factor South America. Twelve contestants will be vying for the P2 million cash prize plus house and lot worth P2.5 million to the one who will endure the show’s challenges for more than 30 days. Every week, a contestant will be eliminated after doing three stunts. Pinoy Fear Factor is scheduled to air this September.
Survivor Philippines 
Survivor Philippines already premiered last September 15, 2008. It is the Philippine version of reality television series Survivor. The contestant who will last the longer will be hailed as the Sole Survivor and will take home P3 million in cash. Initially, the show announced 18 contestants, divided into two groups: Jarakay and Naak. Now, only 16 castaways remain as Chev and Emerson were voted off by their tribe. Aside from the challenges given by the production team, the castaways are also faced on how to survive the island without shelter and food.
The Hosts
Ryan Agoncillo
He was first noticed on the Sprite commercial but Agoncillo’s blast to stardom begun after pairing with Judy Ann Santos in the television soap opera Krystala and the box office hit movie Kasal Kasali Kasalo. During his stay at GMA Network, he became one of the original hosts of Mornings at GMA, Unang Hirit and Campus Video. When he moved to ABS-CBN, Agoncillo hosted several tv programs, including Talk TV, Breakfast, and Y-Speak. He also hosted ABC 5′s Philippine Idol together with Heart Evangelista. Now known as TV5, Agoncillo is also hosting Talentadong Pinoy. With this line of previoys and current hosting jobs, Ryan Agoncillo is truly deserving to host Pinoy Fear Factor.
Paolo Bediones
Paolo Bediones is also a former commercial model before he started hosting. He has hosted Binibing Pilipinas not only once. He has been a loyal Kapuso star, hosting GMA 7′s: Gameplan, Mornings at GMA, Extra Extra, Extra Challenge, The Digital LG Quiz, Texter’s V, The Great Globe Challenge, Text Game Show, S-Files, Pinoy Meets World, Tok! Tok! Tok! Isang Milyon Pasok!, Whammy Push Your Luck, and currently, Survivor Philippines. With those tv programs, Paolo Bediones has truly mastered the craft.

The identity of twelve contestants aren’t revealed yet, but here are the clues on the 6 men and 6 women who tried to surpass all the challenges and stunts to compete for the grand prize:

Elmer Felix - the promdi veterinarian

lumilipat na ung mga artista sa ABS-CBN, kasi MAS MAGANDA.. i repeat MAS MAGANDA ang mga shows sa ABS… duh… pero minsan naiinis ako kasi hindi na sila gumagawa ng original na mga teleserye at nagrerevise lang sila! Pareho lang GMA at ABS-CBN…

mas maganda pa rin ang pinoy fear factor kasi sami kayong matutunan dun u will be able to overcome ur fears….unlike sa survivor…sila2x lang nag-aaway at nagpaplastikan pa..boring nang pinoy survivor tapos mga participants parang halerr……..tapos mas maganda pa maghost si ryan compare kay paulo….si paulo parang di marunong maghost practice ka muna paulo….

hindi ko talaga makuhang manood ng GMA Shows kahit news nila non-sense kasi wala silang binabalitang negative kay gloria,i hate mike enriquez kc when i heard his program on the radio, grabe laging galit!! hindi na makapasok un ibang news anchor. at yun sis nila one time panoorin niyo iisa lang ang tanong ng 3 host.At puro sex bomb lagi ang guest sa tuwing nadadaanan ko.. to eat bulaga palitan niyo na yun itaktak mo kasing edad na ng anak ko yan kantang yan..To gma viewers hindi ba kayo nagsasawa kay marian at dingdong? nwei bout sa survivor as i observed expected ko na yun mangyayari wlang thrill.. at tsaka puro commercial di ako bumili ng tv para manood ng commercial!!! such a glutton tv network..
mas ok ang FEAR FACTOR kasi ikaw mismo ang gagawa ng ikakatagal mo sa show di Tulad s SURVIVOR P. pag ayaw nila dun s isang tao o nag away sila wala na sigurado iboboto k nun.

eh ang panget panget nga niyang pinoy fear factor na iyan. hindi challenging ang challenges di gaya sa survivor napaka challenging. saka kahit saang lupalop man ang pff gawin madali lang kasi may maganda silang tuluyan at mga damit. eh sa survivor mahirap kc kailangan mo talagang dumiskarte!
