Just received an email about love and sorrow-not of a human specie but of a Swallow bird.
The first picture shows an injured female Swallow on the road.
Her mate or husband came to feed him.
When the male Swallow came back to give her more food, he was shocked to find out that her wife already died.
He tried to move the female Swallow to a safe place but to no avail.
Perhaps, the fact that his wife is already dead sinked in to the male Swallow that he was seen here in great sorrow.
But he didn’t leave her, he stood beside him with so much pain and despair.
This photos were taken by an unnamed photographer whom he allegedly sold to a newspaper in France. The female Swallow was hit by a car. These pictures show us that animals have emotions too. Honestly, it is as if I felt the pain of the male Swallow. In an additional info, I have read that swallows usually stay with the same mate for life. Maybe that explains why the male Swallow is in agony.
