‘Burloloy’ (Borloloy)- Tagalog slang for brick-a-brac, stuff, decorative items,
ornaments, jewelry (W3 dictionary). From this word came the now famous bikes roaming around Metro Manila, most probably in Marikina, accessorized with mostly 60’s and 70’s items.

Borloloy bikes were made and popularized by Toym Imao, an artist, sculptor and one of the Most Outstanding Kapampangans. He is the eldest son of National Artist, Abdul Mari Imao Sr. As he puts it in his Facebook account, he created the borloloy bikes to promote bike culture, thus to travel green as he acts his love for the environment.

Last June 4, he was featured in GMA 7’s 24 Oras as they featured the Borloloy bikes while on June 24, four of his borloloy bikes were featured in Unang Hirit. By the way, he also designed the B-Jeep used by Vice President Binay during his inauguration.

You are so on the money in stating this. I am one of those people who you could label a skeptic. However, it is always nice to find another blog related to my main interest of cycling.
