The recently concluded Pacquiao vs. Marquez III gained a lot of controversy. While watching the live bout on tv last Sunday, November 13, I thought Manny Pacquiao was going to lose. But judges gave split decision favoring the still undisputed WBO Welterweight Champion of the World. Sadly, many were not convinced that Pacquiao wins over Marquez. What’s even worse, some of those who were not convinced are Filipinos alike. Eventhough I thought for a while that luck was not on Pacquiao’s side, I realized judges were sitted on different sides of the ring to capture every angles, so judges know better.

On the other side,  Juan Manuel Marquez did a good job on his counter punches with Pacquiao. Apparently, he had observed and mastered Pacquiao’s moves and techniques. And, he also thought of a tactic. Look at this picture:

Well, the long awaited rematch of Pacquiao vs Marquez was over, as Filipinos we should be proud that Pacquiao brings pride to the Philippines, and as Filipinos we should show our support to our athlete win or lose. Moreover, statistics and scorecard were shown to prove that Pacquiao is indeed tha Champion. Congratulations and more power to you, Manny Pacquiao!

Antonio Margarito mocks Manny Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach by making fun of the latter’s Parkinson’s Disease. Brandon Rios was also seen making faces and stutters while talking. It was caught on video and has made a trend in the net.

It was reported that Margarito’s trainer, Robert Garcia, already apologized for the video and was quoted saying:

“This was nothing to do with the disease that Freddie Roach has. We know it’s something that we don’t wish nobody,” Garcia said. “It’s something personal, something between Team Pacquiao and Team Margarito. I just wanted to make that clear.”

I’m not buying Garcia’s lame excuse, so is Freddie Roach himself. What it has to do with Team Pacquiao and Team Margarito? Clearly, it was mocking a person’s disease that Garcia even said – a disease that nobody would not want to wish for. Team Margarito should focus on the tough fight with Manny Pacquiao, and not devote their time making fun of other people’s disease.
