What is Bekimon? Watch this video uploaded by the inventor of this word.

So, Bekimon means Baklang Jejemon or gays using Gay lingo. I find this funny, though others may think it is annoying. In a sense, it isn’t good in our society, especially for kids or students who may adapt to these kind of words. But for fun sake, I posted it anyway. Just enjoy watching! :)

‘Burloloy’ (Borloloy)- Tagalog slang for brick-a-brac, stuff, decorative items,
ornaments, jewelry (W3 dictionary). From this word came the now famous bikes roaming around Metro Manila, most probably in Marikina, accessorized with mostly 60’s and 70’s items.

Borloloy bikes were made and popularized by Toym Imao, an artist, sculptor and one of the Most Outstanding Kapampangans. He is the eldest son of National Artist, Abdul Mari Imao Sr. As he puts it in his Facebook account, he created the borloloy bikes to promote bike culture, thus to travel green as he acts his love for the environment.

Last June 4, he was featured in GMA 7’s 24 Oras as they featured the Borloloy bikes while on June 24, four of his borloloy bikes were featured in Unang Hirit. By the way, he also designed the B-Jeep used by Vice President Binay during his inauguration.

Camp Rock had its premiere on June 20, 2008 on Disney Channel. The story is about Mitchie (Demi Lovato) who dreams of being a part of the prestigious Camp Rock. Marie Digby’s Say It Again is topping the Myx chart. I love the song! Marie became popular with her acoustic cover of Umbrella by Rihanna when it was broadcast on You Tube. One can easily notice this girl because she is pretty and she can play piano and guitar.

I thought she has Filipino blood when I first saw her on tv. I later discovered that her is mother is Japanese and her father is Irish-American. She is the eldest among three girls.

Her first single “Say it Again” is recently featured on Smallville and is also used on the final episode of ER’s fourteenth season.

Lyrics of Say it Again:

The thing about love
Is i never saw it coming
It kinda crept up and took me by surprise
And now there`s a voice inside my heart that`s got me wondering
Is this true, i want to hear it one more time

Move in a little closer
Take it to a whisper
Just a little louder

It’s good to see Ramiele Malubay performs once again, though not in American Idol Season 7, but on Ellen DeGeneres’ show! :) I appreciate Ellen’s enthusiasm with Filipino talents. She requested Charisse Pempengco to sing live on her show and praised Arnel Pineda (a Filipino singer who is now the lead vocalist of international band, Journey).
