Antonio Margarito mocks Manny Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach by making fun of the latter’s Parkinson’s Disease. Brandon Rios was also seen making faces and stutters while talking. It was caught on video and has made a trend in the net.

It was reported that Margarito’s trainer, Robert Garcia, already apologized for the video and was quoted saying:

“This was nothing to do with the disease that Freddie Roach has. We know it’s something that we don’t wish nobody,” Garcia said. “It’s something personal, something between Team Pacquiao and Team Margarito. I just wanted to make that clear.”

I’m not buying Garcia’s lame excuse, so is Freddie Roach himself. What it has to do with Team Pacquiao and Team Margarito? Clearly, it was mocking a person’s disease that Garcia even said – a disease that nobody would not want to wish for. Team Margarito should focus on the tough fight with Manny Pacquiao, and not devote their time making fun of other people’s disease.

Mainstays of SOP, La Diva, composed of Jonalyn Viray, Aicelle Santos and Maricris Garcia were chosen to sing the Philippine National Anthem at the Manny Pacquiao-Miguel Cotto fight on November 14, 2009. These La Diva members all came from GMA 7′s singing contest.

Many raised eyebrows, perhaps skeptic about their voice, personality and popularity. Some even doubt Pacquiao for choosing them, speculating GMA 7 is behind it. Personally, La Diva members has good singing voice and I guess, Manny Pacquiao wouldn’t want to be dictated on whom he will choose to sing on his fight.

Well, the pressure lies on the three girls. They should prove that they deserved to be chosen. Not only by showing off their vocal powers but most importantly, by singing the National Anthem accordingly.

World Boxing Council (WBC) super featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao and WBC lightweight champion David Diaz will fight over Diaz’ title on June 28, 2008 aired via HBO ( to be aired on GMA-7 in Philippines on June 29). Promoter Bob Arum called this fight as the “Lethal Combination”.

Pacquiao, tagged as “The Mexicutioner” has beaten Barrera, Marquez, Larios, Solis and Morales. He is aiming to to get five world titles in five different weight classes. For the first time, he will be fighting at 135 pounds. Will the added weight deter Pacquiao’s performance? But Freddie Roach,Pacquiao’s trainer, is more concerned on the Pacman’s mentality. Coming from previous victory over Marquez, Manny Pacquiao might underestimate Diaz’ power.
